OrgCode Training

Ohana Zone funds have been used to contract OrgCode Consulting, Inc.  to provide a series of trainings for State and County shelters and housing programs regarding a housing-focused approach, the use of diversion tools, and the utilization of rapid rehousing and other rapid resolution approaches.   The organization’s President and CEO Iain De Jong is the developer of the VI-SPDAT assessment and triage tool, and is an internationally recognized consultant on issues relating to homelessness.

In addition to providing consulting and training for communities across the United States and Canada, the organization also posts a regular blog that provides unique perspectives on the approach to homeless services delivery.

The intent of supporting training for State and County providers is part of an overall effort to strengthen the capacity of homeless service providers and the overall homelessness system, in addition to utilizing funding to add new programs and preserve existing programs.
